2004 Gmc Truck Driver Door Window Will Not Work

This time it is half way down.

2004 gmc truck driver door window will not work.

This has happened to my canyon twice before. Hey guys have an 03 silverado and just started having a problem with my drivers side door. The hot wire must have broke in the door jam. Passenger side works find though.

I have no power to my window switches mirror switch locks lights and doesn t ding when door is open with key in ignition. I have a 2004 gmc canyon. My driver side window will not go up or down and my door locks won t work either. The first two times however my window was in the up position.

Then i ran a hot wire to the green wire in the harness and plugged the switch back in and it works. The switch for the passenger window does work though as well as the power locks and power mirror adjusters so i know the door has power. Odd that i have 4 5 volts at the plug to the window motor when the switch is activated even with the new switch and 12 volts to the switch and the window lock out does not stop the other switches from. Same problem on my 2001 2500hd.

The regulator doesn t make any noise the window doesn t move nothing. Also the power mirror adjusts the drivers side but not the passengerside. 2007 silverado ltz 4 door drivers side windows don t work but passenger side windows work fine from the master switch even after replacement. The buttons from the drivers side for the passenger side do not work either but the drivers side window and lock work fine.

If it still does not work the module will need to be changed and the new one programmed with the vehicle s vin number failing which it will not work. Passengers window works fine drivers worked when you slammed door now nothing. And got a new switch. Gmc power window trouble shooting is not difficult but it requires knowledge of the system.

I jumped the connection and got the window to work so the motor aint bad. Yes the power window and lock button on the passenger side door do not work. Another thing i just noticed is that when i put it in drive it will lock.
